Kids Zone - The APB's online teaching resource
What is it? Kids Zone is an educational resources designed to be used by kids, teachers and parents to raise awareness of the issues related to arson and the effect arson can have on communities. The resource provides practical advice and activities about protecting your home and school from fire and arson.
It's easy and fun! Children are susceptible to peer pressure and other problems that can result in firesetting behaviour. The site challenges children to think about their actions and the effects they have on others. The resource is targetted specifically at children in Key Stages 1, 2 and 3 and is tailored to meet the different requirements of children at each of these stages. There are separate pages for teachers providing lesson plans and links to other useful resources.
What to do next Simply log on to Kids Zone, choose the appropriate key stage to get started! Tell us if you like it! If you have any feedback as a pupil, parent or teacher who uses this resource we welcome your comments and will continue to improve and update the site.
