Dilemma ...
Printer friendly Page
Three weeks ago you were in a lesson with your friend Ben. While the teacher was out of the classroom Ben set fire to some papers.

He put the paper into the rubbish bin and although this caused a much larger blaze the fire went out before the teacher returned to the room.

You have recently noticed that Ben, has become more and more interested in fire. There are burn holes in lots of his clothes and he is rarely without a box of matches.

Yesterday a massive blaze broke out in the school’s grounds during a lesson. Ben had not attended the lesson and you suspect that the fire had something to do with him.

Speak to Ben’s tutor confidentially telling them that you are afraid Ben has an unusual fascination with fire and may be a danger to himself and others.
Do nothing, it’s none of your business anyway.
Speak to Ben, to see if you can convince him that his behaviour is dangerous.
