Reducing risks dilemma ...
Printer friendly Page
You notice one evening that the gates to your school are not locked and there are some kids loitering around the back of the building, near the dustbins, smoking.

Although you haven’t seen any criminal activities you find their behaviour suspicious and you decide to keep an eye on them. You notice one of them flick a cigarette butt into the bins. This ignites some paper in the bin and very quickly flames engulf the whole area. The kids run off.

You try to put the fire out by yourself.
You raise the alarm with the Fire Brigade.
You try to find the caretaker but give up when no-one answers.
As you didn’t start the fire, you feel it’s not your problem and you run off.
