Make an escape plan
You can easily draw a plan of your home.
For each room in your home you should try to establish two possible exits. You should ensure that all these exits are accessible. If a fire breaks out in the room you are in and the door is blocked you will still quickly be able to exit the room.
Establish a meeting point away from the building. Make sure you practice your plan.
