Calling The Fire Brigade

Homework exercise

If a fire breaks out in your house, you should get out and then call the fire brigade by dialling 999. It is important that you can tell the operator where the fire is. Could you give them the information they need if it was your house?
  • What is the name of your street?
  • What number do you live at?
  • In which town or village do you live?
  • What is your postcode?
  • If you live in a flat, what floor do you live on?
Remember: Never call the fire service, police or ambulance unless there is an emergency. Hoax calls cost lives!
